The infinite dimensions of Desire outnumber the one-sided nature of Rage. Little pleasures and the promise of pain-free existence—the sad amenities of democracy and equality. Even Rage is not fearless, even it prefers a pleasure–regardless of how paltry–to the tortures invented to stamp out anger and hatred, to the methods devised to silence indignation and rebellion.
