– the national

in a very real sense pornography has delivered the liberation that the sexual revolution promised to women: freedom from the aesthetics of seduction, which they have been traditionally bound to for centuries previous.

woe to the those who do not perform sex for money; these are caught in the old-school in which sex is still performed, not as multi-million dollar “entertainment” but performed as mere duty.

for all its stylization pornography is not “a strategy of finery.”

the porno-starlet finds economic security unmatched in any venue of seduction (e.g. manipulation, prostitution, etc.); it is more profitable than most other means of production (i.e. working for money) because to produce means to bring forth, to make appear: where [she] was, [money] will come to be (freud).

porno is the forcing-of-sex to appear and it is so popular because it has most assuredly vanished, like nature since romanticism, to reappear in the form of pornographic “designer sex”: the ironic simulacrum of a lost-object. (a similar phenomena can be seen with violence: the black bloc is essentially “designer violence,” with branding / uniforms and all the other signs of a desire that nobody wants any longer, that nobody knows what to do with once they have it: violence robbed of its sovereignty.)

pornography is sex codified: a computation in which the logic of desire is absent, the space in which we realize the deleuzian ideal of “organs without bodies.”

she has come to the promised land of economic and political liberation: THE RIGHT TO MORE ORGASMS.*

(*this last is taken from CH’s reading of MH’s EP. that’s right, bizarro-obscurantism at its best.)
